MARANT Construction was selected as Construction Manager to transform two floors at First Canadian Place into Ivey Business School’s Donald K. Johnson Leadership Centre and Executive MBA campus. Working alongside Gow Hastings Architects and Colliers International, MARANT delivered a premier executive education facility in the heart of Canada’s financial district.
Relocating from its previous home in Exchange Tower, the expanded campus was designed to support the evolving needs of faculty, students, and executive learners. Occupying the podium part of the building, the concourse-level entrance lobby showcases a striking video display wall introducing Ivey’s brand identity. The new space features tiered classrooms, collaborative breakout spaces, event venues, a commercial teaching kitchen, advanced AV technology, and a dramatic interconnecting staircase that creates a dynamic environment for collaborative learning.
MARANT delivered a landmark campus designed to support executive education, where intuitive teaching spaces, collaboration, and integrated technology foster connectivity and professional development. Proactive coordination, open communication, and a cooperative approach with the client and project partners were key to the project’s successful completion.
