Case Study
Holt Renfrew
Retained as Construction Manager, MARANT implemented a multi-phased “in-situ” renovation to the administrative headquarters of Holt Renfrew. Previously occupying space over seven floors in the building, this restack to four floors provided Holt’s the opportunity to develop new office standards that aligned with their corporate identity and brand.
Creating a strict schedule and budget parameters to meet the overall design intent, MARANT implemented a space optimization strategy that centralized operations, and increased functionality between departments within four contiguous floors. Creating a new open concept office plan layout, a full floor conferencing centre / town hall with high-end finishes (equipped with A/V) was also constructed for client and public receptions.
The scope of work included: demolition of all existing leaseholds, whilst utilizing swing space to phase departmental shifts to the completed floors, as well as three floors of “return-to-base building” landlord’s work.
