Announcing the 2024 MARANT Construction Limited Award Winner
TORONTO, ON-April 10, 2024 – MARANT Construction is thrilled to announce the recipient of the 2024 MARANT Construction Limited Award, Rafaela Delai Sposito. Rafaela, a first-year Architecture student at Toronto Metropolitan University, was selected from many applicants for her academic achievements and her passionate dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry. She is the second annual recipient of this award.
Rafaela shared, “I am extremely grateful to be honoured with this award. Architecture has always been a passion of mine and this award will help me be able to reach my dreams of becoming a professional in this field. It is also symbolically very important to me since a large number of women in the industry haven’t had this opportunity to be offered financial help to finish their degrees. It also shows me that I am being appreciated for caring for minorities and that fills me with gratitude.”
Since 2021, MARANT Construction has partnered with the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University to establish the MARANT Architectural Science Diversity Award, a dedicated initiative promoting diversity and inclusion in the field. As part of MARANT Construction’s longstanding relationship with the program and commitment to giving back, this award aims to inspire future generations to break barriers and to shape an inclusive architectural landscape.
