Health and Safety Week 2025: MARANT Construction’s Continued Commitment
TORONTO, ON – May 9, 2025 – This week, from May 5 through May 9, MARANT Construction proudly recognizes Health and Safety Week. Act Safely, a core value at MARANT, is fundamental to our company culture. Our unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees is not limited to this week alone but is upheld every day.
As part of our ongoing efforts to prevent work-related injuries and prioritize employee safety, our Health and Safety team leads a range of initiatives to support a safe and healthy work environment.
Ongoing Health and Safety Initiatives
Monthly Lunch-n-Learns: Our field staff participate in monthly Lunch-n-Learn sessions to review H&S topics. These topics include site inspections, incident reports, and eliminating hazards. By reviewing these topics on an ongoing basis, our site staff can ensure that their efforts in documenting hazard controls and field levels assessments align with the MARANT health and safety standards.
Corfix – Our Digital Health and Safety System: On every active site, MARANT has integrated Corfix. Through Corfix’s robust health and safety management system, all site staff and Superintendents can ensure they meet all mandatory safety measures, such as workplace observations and thorough reviews of program documentation and records. Corfix provides seamless and clear communication between field happenings and our Health and Safety team, ensuring alignment and accountability across every project.
Health and Safety Training Days: Every year, the entire MARANT team collaborates in interactive safety stations and lessons to refresh Health and Safety knowledge. Staff across all departments participate to reinforce MARANT’s shared responsibility to create and maintain a safe work environment. This ensures that knowledge of health and safety remains top of mind both inside and outside of the workplace.
Health and Safety Employee Award of Excellence: At MARANT, we believe it’s essential to recognize and celebrate the individuals who go above and beyond in prioritizing our team’s Health and Safety. Each year, a MARANT employee is honoured for their outstanding dedication to maintaining Health and Safety standards and setting the best example for others by consistently committing to creating a safe work environment.
