MARANT for MANKIND Participates in Canada’s First-Ever Street Cricket Fundraiser
TORONTO, ON – June 2, 2025 – On May 31st, MARANT for MANKIND proudly participated in Canada’s first-ever Cricket to Conquer Cancer fundraiser event in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The MARANT team, along with hundreds of other participants and supporters, gathered in Mississauga’s Celebration Square for an unforgettable afternoon of teamwork and collaboration with one shared goal in mind: to conquer cancer.
“Participating in Cricket to Conquer Cancer was an incredibly meaningful experience for all of us at MARANT. Many of us are personally touched by cancer. Being part of something bigger and knowing our efforts contribute to real change was truly powerful.” says Keyur Raval, Associate Project Manager for MARANT Construction.
While some of our MARANT for MANKIND team did not initially know the difference between a “wicket” and a “wide,” that didn’t stop them from swinging big in the end and winning each game they participated in.
Keyur adds, “This event was also a great opportunity to introduce the spirit of cricket to a broader audience in Canada, and we’re proud to help grow awareness of the game while supporting such an important cause. We look forward to continuing our support in the years to come.”
For MARANT participants, every run scored, and ball bowled was a step toward transforming the future of cancer care by supporting The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre‘s research and treatment.
MARANT for MANKIND is honoured to have played a founding role in this first-of-its-kind street cricket fundraiser in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. This event marked a beacon of hope in the fight against cancer.
Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on, donated, and helped us Carry The Fire for those who need it most. Your support is invaluable, and together, we are making a difference.
Let’s keep swinging for a cure and Carry The Fire, whether it’s on or off the field.
