MARANT for MANKIND Returns for 18th Consecutive Ride to Conquer Cancer
TORONTO, ON – June 9, 2025 – MARANT Construction’s MARANT for MANKIND proudly participated in its 18th consecutive year in Ride to Conquer Cancer on June 7 and 8, in support of cancer research and treatment at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. With this year’s fundraising efforts totalling $276,372.29, the team has now raised a cumulative total of over $3.5 million since the inaugural ride in 2008.
For as long as this fundraiser has existed, MARANT for MANKIND has been at the starting line, ready to give it their all for a cure. Every year, MARANT riders, alongside thousands of others, showcase determination, resilience, and strength in honour of those battling cancer and those who have lost their battle.
Carlo Martini, Vice President of Project Delivery Services and a rider since 2009, shared, “I want to extend my deepest thanks to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and every incredible team member on MARANT for MANKIND for another spectacular Ride weekend. Each year, I find myself wondering whether I’ll take part again and then the emotional opening ceremonies remind me exactly why I do. After that, there’s no question. It’s a feel-good weekend filled with purpose, camaraderie, and hope.”
Julia Jose, Project Coordinator at MARANT and first-time rider, reflected on her experience, “Although I’m not much of a cyclist, and this was quite a challenge for me, it turned out to be one of the most inspiring experiences of my life. It was incredible to see how many people came together for such an important cause, from the riders, to the volunteers, to those who came to cheer us on along the way. This ride was a powerful reminder of what hope, and community can achieve in the fight against cancer, and I’m truly grateful to have been a part of it.”
MARANT Construction extends its heartfelt thanks to all the donors, supporters, and volunteers who made this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer not only possible but truly successful. Your generosity fuels our mission and brings hope to those affected by cancer.
As we look ahead to next year, MARANT for MANKIND remains committed—to riding, to fundraising, and most of all, to conquering cancer.
