Case Study Hudson’s Bay

This was a project that some said couldn’t be done and, considering all the twists and turns, MARANT executed with a precision and professionalism that I have never experienced. It has been an absolute pleasure.

Blair Reeve GM Central Operations, Hudson’s Bay Company

MARANT was originally retained following a tender for a 26,000 sf swing space (on a raised floor) which was being constructed in the existing warehouse facility by creating a structural barrier between the warehouse and the new swing space requiring new HVAC & electrical systems. Before construction began, the consulting team was required to value engineer the requirement for this space, at which time the team developed a strategic implementation strategy for the entire project, including a comprehensive list of long-lead items that would need to be pre-ordered to meet the schedule.

Following the success of this “consultative” construction process, MARANT was retained for the balance of the project scope. The multi-phased interior renovation process took approximately 12 months to complete, with an additional four months for the exterior and landscaping, which was completed on time and on budget.
