Westinghouse Electric is a technology and precision manufacturing company that specializes in the nuclear industry, particularly focusing on CANDU reactors. They offer fuel, services, technology, plant design, and equipment for utility and industrial customers and plays a significant role in the global nuclear energy sector.

MARANT Construction was selected as the Construction Manager to work alongside JLL Canada and Ware Malcomb for the transformation of Westinghouse Electric’s new Global Engineering Hub in Kitchener. This project started with the demolition of existing tenant finishes and ceilings to make way for a state-of-the-art fit-out. Key areas within the space include conference rooms, office spaces, a café, training rooms, a laboratory, and a new suspended ceiling system with updated lighting.

With a client-focused approach, our team maintained close communication with the client and project partners, enabling MARANT to address any challenges and prioritize effective resolutions promptly. By proactively ordering long lead-time materials and meticulously overseeing deliveries and schedules, MARANT ensured a timely project completion and successful outcome.
