Transforming Community Spaces: MARANT Joins ARIDO’s 2024/2025 Renew-Originate-Implement Initiative
TORONTO, ON- August 29, 2025 – For several months, MARANT Construction has stepped up as General Contractor to oversee the philanthropic transformation of the space shared by the Ontario Employment Education and Research Centre (OEERC) and the Workers’ Action Centre (WAC) as part of ARIDO’s 2024/2025 ROI Initiative.
ARIDO, the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario, began spearheading Renew-Originate-Implement (ROI) Projects in 2013. This all started with enhancing and improving the CAMH Archway Clinic, a CAMH satellite outpatient clinic, with MARANT Construction’s Matthew DiCintio volunteering as the Project Manager for the debut ARIDO ROI Project.
The goal of each ROI Project is to help support Ontario-based organizations and charities by enhancing their interior environments, where essential services and support are provided to those in need. This year’s ROI Project added another two very important, Ontario-based organizations and charities, OEERC and WAC, to the long list of completed ROI projects.
This year’s collaborative transformation of the OEERC and WAC shared space aimed to improve each organization’s commitment to improving public education, awareness of workplace legislation, and developing and putting in place much-needed supports and strategies for workers who have come across violations of their rights. Additionally, it helps organizations improve the lives and employment conditions of people in low-wage and unstable employment.
The ARIDO ROI project not only made an impact on the community, but also on our team members here at MARANT Construction:
Steffi Hau Fai Tseung, Associate Project Manager for MARANT Construction, shares her experience working on the charitable initiative, “This was an unconventional project, and I embraced the challenge of keeping this project organized and finding out-of-the-box solutions to stay on schedule while staying true to the design intent. Contributing to a space that supports the Workers’ Action Centre and the community it serves made the experience not only professionally enriching, but also deeply personal and fulfilling.”
Jad Younis, Vice President of Business Development, adds, “It was an honour for MARANT Construction to participate in such a meaningful initiative and a privilege to work with so many incredible teams to make the project possible. Everyone part of the ROI project brought passion, dedication, and a shared commitment to making a difference, making the experience even more rewarding upon completion.”

The 2024/2025 ROI Initiative could not have been accomplished without the help of ARIDO, the involvement of each participant, and the charitable efforts of all its donors and partners. Additionally, we want to thank the community for their support and trust in our work to bring another ARIDO vision to life.
Together with our incredible collaborators, MARANT Construction was able to create a space that empowers two Ontario-based organizations to carry out vital work and enhance the lives of those they serve. MARANT is exceptionally proud to have been a part of ARIDO’s journey since the beginning, starting with the CAMH Archway Clinic in 2013, and looks forward to any new opportunities to help continue empowering Ontario-based organizations and charities that have a significant impact on our community.
