MARANT Construction Supports Falls Awareness Week 2024

TORONTO, ON – May 6, 2024 – At MARANT Construction, safety is more than just a priority – it is a fundamental core value ingrained in everything that we do. Beginning May 6 through May 10, 2024, we will be participating in Falls Awareness Week, an initiative led by the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) in conjunction with Health & Safety Week. This campaign is focused on spreading awareness of fall hazards and preventing falls, the leading cause of death and critical injuries in the construction industry.

George Gilewski, Health & Safety Compliance Manager, believes that MARANT Construction’s participation in Falls Awareness Week is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the safety of our team members. “Our Health & Safety policies and programs are not just documents, they’re a reflection of our dedication to fostering a culture of safety in both our offices and construction sites. We believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility, and it’s imperative that everyone upholds the highest standards of safety culture. As we participate in Falls Awareness Week, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence in safety without compromise.”

During Falls Awareness Week, MARANT Construction will be conducting site-specific training programs each day tailored to the unique hazards present on each of our job sites. This training will equip team members with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify fall hazards and take proactive measures to protect themselves and their colleagues.

In addition to providing comprehensive training, MARANT supervisors will be using this time to refresh and expand their knowledge about the best practices for fall prevention. By staying informed and up-to-date on the latest safety guidelines and regulations, we can ensure that our workforce and job sites remain safe and productive.

As we join forces with IHSA to promote Falls Awareness Week, we invite all our employees, partners, and stakeholders to actively participate in this important campaign. Together, we can work on preventing falls, saving lives, and building a safer environment for everyone in the construction industry.
