The Coca-Cola Company is a leading global beverage manufacturer that was founded in 1886 and is primarily known for its flagship product, Coca-Cola, but has since expanded to offer hundreds of brands in more than 200 countries. The company emphasizes innovation, marketing, and sustainability to uphold its status as one of the most recognizable brands in the world.

MARANT was selected as the Construction Manager to oversee Coca-Cola Canada’s transition into their new office headquarters in Toronto.

The project involved the construction of three additional floors to the top of the existing SUN Newspaper building to make room for a three storey naturally-lit atritrium and town hall. These areas allow for large gatherings and a resting or lounguing space for employees.

Additionally, a large cafeteria was created from recycled materials, such as wood table tops and plastic seating, as well as an adjacent outdoor patio for employees to enjoy outdoor space during their workday.

MARANT successfully delivered a LEED Silver project that accomdates Coca-Cola Canada’s productive and collaborative work environment, incorporating recycled materials throughout and taking advantage of the natural light that floods the headquarters location.

With a challenging schedule, and multiple base building issues, MARANT was able to quickly respond to unforeseen issues during the construction and, together with the consulting team, brought our beautifully designed, “green” project in on time. Our best decisions involved the project team we selected.
