Kawasaki Heavy Industries is a global engineering corporation with a strong presence in Canada, particularly through Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc. They are knwon for their concentration on the distribution and marketing of a wide variety of Kawasaki products, including motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, and personal watercraft.

Selected as Construction Manager, MARANT Construction oversaw the construction of Kawasaki Canada’s Toronto facility into a showroom for its motorcycle division, as well as a warehouse for products, parts and touring vehicles.

MARANT began by gutting the facility’s existing office component, then installed new HVAC and electrical systems, a redesigned building envelope to better reflect the Kawasaki brand, and re-clad the exterior concrete walls using tinted glass panels. Further, the project required significant base-building structural modifications to create an office mezzanine level overlooking a new showroom, as well as a more dramatic entry door to the facility. Lastly, an oversized garage entrance was included to accommodate the vehicle transport trucks.

MARANT excelled in transforming Kawasaki Canada’s space to meet its business objectives. Through close collaboration with the client, our team delivered a modern space for the high-performance manufacturer.

The design-build team that MARANT brought forward worked together under challenging conditions and was able to achieve all our facility objectives.
