MARANT was retained as Construction Manager for the relocation of Miller Thomson’s Waterloo office from the Accelerator Centre to 115 King Street South. The team was engaged early in the process during office tours by providing feedback on constructability and budget estimates for the short-listed options. Through this early engagement, the decision was made to move into KPMG’s former space where elements of the office were reused resulting in significant savings.

Upon onboarding, a strong pre-construction phase that included multiple iterations of design and budgeting led to smooth delivery during construction. The new office consists of a completely new reception and conference area with open offices adjacent from the perimeter offices. The private office configurations remained with updates to the office fronts as the previous tenant had experienced noise travel. A new lawyer’s lounge/event multipurpose space, training space with operable partitions, and lunchroom provides various options for staff to work from.
