Sun Life engaged MARANT Construction as the General Contractor to complete an office fit-out within a vacant floor of the Glovebox Building in downtown Kitchener. Working with Infrastructure Interior Design & Comn Architects, MARANT transformed the space by constructing demising walls to create Sun Life’s new office, a secondary tenant unit, and a shared common corridor.
The completed workspace features modern, high-quality finishes and a thoughtfully designed 75/25 enclosed office-to-open workspace ratio. The space includes private offices, open workstations, meeting rooms, phone rooms, collaborative areas, and employee amenities such as a reception area, business centre, kitchen, coffee station, and café. Together, these elements create a functional workplace that supports both focused work and collaboration.
MARANT successfully completed the project on schedule while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean job site throughout construction. Through effective coordination and attention to detail, the team delivered a high-quality office environment that supports Sun Life Kitchener-Waterloo’s workplace needs.
